Conflict with WordFence

    With WordFence actived (pretty much defaults) then SQL statements entered in WP Data Access return no results. No error, no warning…just no rows returned.

    If I deactivate WordFence then my SQL statements work again.

    I have repro’d this on both a dev server and on my production site.

    Is anyone aware of any conflict with WordFence and, if so, if there is any configuration change I can make to allow SQL statements to return results?

    Hi @markwill,

    Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the Query Builder.

    We just tested with a newly installed WordFence (free license, no setup) but we’re unable to reproduce the issue you described.

    Could you share your default Wordfence settings? Also what version of WP Data Access do you have?

    Thank you for your response, Kim. Since I am now relaying site-specific information in the form of a video, I have opened an official ticket.

    The video I have sent shows my query working when WordFence is deactivated and failing (no rows returned) when it is activated.

    Hi Mark,

    Thank you for the video. We’ll try to follow up asap.

    At this time I can confirm that we can reproduce this issue on one of our development servers. It works correctly on all other development servers. It’s unclear why.

    It strangely also works on the development server where we have this issue if we connect to a different local or remote databases. And it also works if we create a loopback and connect remotely!!

    Has anyone else been able to fix this issue? We’re greatfull for any help.
