Conflict with Wordfence
-
I use Wordfence plugin for monitoring and for security. After installing Jetpack latest version, Wordfence live traffic view stopped displaying the streaming information about the visitors. Through empirical trial and error approach I narrowed it down to the “Publicize” module of Jetpack creating the conflict. I reported the issue to Jetpack and Wordfence. I am grateful for both teams for looking into the issue, logging in to my admin dashboard and finally narrowing the problem down to the memory limit setting in WordPress. After checking with my ISP, I added the following lines to wp-config.php (one being a comment line to remind me what the line is for). I am happy to report that both plugins are happily cohabitating on https://www.keptlight.com!
/** Change memory limit by AC Ekin */
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’);Thanks to Jetpack and Wordfence team for helping me resolve this issue. I understand that memory related problems may be under reported or not clearly identified. You may consider checking your system for these settings.
