    Hi!

Events Calendar shortcodes conflicts with Visual Composers “post grid”.

When shortcodes is on, then it it seems to filter the post grid output also. My post grid only displays 1 item, although configured to show 6 and they available – if shortcodes is on.

If shortcodes is off, everything runs well.

Can you comment on what could cause this and if you could suggest a fix?

Hi! Is it possible for you to comment on this issue?

To clarify, do you mean just by having The Events Calendar Shortcode plugin installed and activated, it is messing up the post grid? Or, when you add [ecs-list-events] inside the post grid, the other items in the post grid are not displaying?

Hi Brian, thanks for attending this issue.

Just by having The Events Calendar Shortcode plugin installed, activated is messing up my Post Grid.

It limits the post grid output to 1 post. It occurs on pages with AND without the [ecs-list-events] shortcode.

However it happens only with SOME Visual Composer post-grid styles. I can’t figure out why it messes with only some of them, as the styles only affect presentation of the post grid.

If you can think of an obvious conflict source & fix, please share.

That’s strange, as The Events Calendar Shortcode only does a call to add_shortcode which should have no effect when the shortcode is not added to a page.

Sounds like there may be another conflict you’ll need to debug by deactivating all of the other plugins apart from Visual Composer on a test site (or live site with a backup) and seeing if the issue persists. Then re-activating one by one to see when things stop working.

    Hi Brian

I resolved it by changing the styling set of Visual Composer from “default” to “basic”. I never figured out why this occurred, but this was the fix for me.

    cheers
