Conflict with the new virtual event plugin

  • Recently we bought the new virtual event addition to the Event Calendar plugin set But when activated errors out, destroying permalinks and event titles.
    Switching this The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block plugin off, fixes the issue.
    We have notified the Tribe people but I am interested to hear if more people have this issue. We were able to reproduce on multiple sites.

    Sorry to hear you’re having issues! I tried replicating the error by creating and then viewing a new virtual event, but no errors occur and it displays as normal.

    Could you check your logs with the hosting company for the exact error message, and confirm the plugins you have activated on the site and the version of each?

    You might also want to try deactivating all but The Events Calendar, Virtual Events, The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block, along with switching to a default theme like Twenty Twenty, ensuring you have a backup of your site in case there’s any issues deactivating/reactivating the plugins and themes.
