WPForms Lite is installed on several of my websites, as is Swift Performance. A client told me some of his customers were having difficulty sending email via his form. I was able to send email via WPForms Lite on my PC, but not on my mobile phone. Other sites gave the same result.

I deactivated all plugins except WPForms and tried again. Those were successful. I reactivated plugins one-by-one, testing between and all test emails went through. Swift Performance was the last plugin I reactivated.

On another site, I deactivated only the Swift Performance plugin and tested. The email went through. when I reactivated the Swift plugin, email continued to work normally.

Could it be the order in which plugins are activated?

    Hi enterprisejm,

When we’ve seen similar errors, it is due to strict email filters of your email account. To fix this, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site to send emails as authenticated.

We have an article on recommended SMTP plugins and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps ??

Sorry, that boilerplate response isn’t working in this case. We’re talking several different websites, each with different email recipients. They can’t all be using the same email filters that, until now, all worked fine and delivered their mail uninterrupted. And the problem seemed to resolve itself after following the plugin deactivation/reactivation routine I described above, with no change at all to any email filtering.

    Hi Jim,

It looks like the Swift Performance plugin modifies the code in other plugins in order to improve site performance. In some cases this affects the functionalities of the plugins on your site, including WPForms Lite.

When you deactivated and activated the plugin, you might have flushed the cache on your site and enabled WPForms Lite to function as usual.

In this case, you might want to reach out to the Swift Performance team to find out the best configuration for your site so that other plugins are not affected by its settings.

    I hope this helps ??
