Conflict with sidebar on schedule page – Tabbed View

    Hi,

    I have a conflict on my Schedule page. I use a widget in the sidebar to display the most 3 recent posts from the blog, however the links in the sidebar widget appear with the following text (which seems to originate from Radio Station):

    Radio Timezone: UTC +1Genres: ?Monday??Tuesday??Wednesday??Thursday??Friday??Saturday??Sunday?Health Today with Dominic…

    Is this a bug? How can I rectify this issue?

    That certainly looks like a bug. We’re soon to release our next update, but in the meantime, can you download our development version and install that to see if it rectifies the issue.

    @sams1012 It looks like the News widget you have is pulling an excerpt from the current page contents (the schedule) rather than the excerpt for that news post.

    I am not sure what widget you are using for News, but seems it is a bug in that rather than with Radio Station because Radio Station does not generate that widgets contents.

    But as a developer I have seen this happen before, when the post ID is not being passed in the code properly, the $post global object is used instead. Usually this happens when using the_excerpt filter (which is supposed to be used for generating an excerpt in the loop so uses the global $post object.) But again without bugfixing the News widget code I cannot say for certain. It looks like a category posts widget and would suggest you try swapping it out for another widget.
