Found an issue with Siteground Optimizer and Otter plugin when trying to use Otter’s Advanced Heading block. Would prefer to keep Optimizer activated but would also like use the features of the Advanced Heading block. I believe there is PHP function I can add to exclude specific Optimizer function that may cause specific conflicts. If so, please let me know. Thanks!

    Hello @wtechrbr,

I checked the page, but I am not able to determine what the problem is. However, the two fonts and headings you added are showing correctly on my end with the correct font. I also tried recreating the problem on a new site, and the fonts showed correctly there.

Still, I noticed that the Otter plugin is switching on optimizations by default. As we have the same optimization options, the problem you refer to may be caused by the same option being active for both plugins. It is recommended to use only one plugin for optimization to avoid any conflicts between two or more plugins optimizing your content.

You can try stopping their optimization through the admin >> Settings >> Otter menu. If that does not help, please provide us with a detailed description of the issue so we can recreate it on our end and check it further.

OK, thanks for the suggestion, I’ll try that.

On the page https://woventechnologies.com/temp2/, the top font referenced as “The is Abril Fatface font” does not look like it should. If you compare to the home page, where “We Solve Problems” text is shown – that is what the font is supposed to look like. It does not render when 2 or more Advanced Heading blocks are implemented as shown on the temp2 page. If I disable SG Opimizer, they do render properly.

I will try updating the Otter menu option as you have suggested and will post the results. I appreciate the help and quick response – thank you!

I looked into the Otter settings but none seemed to meet the above suggestion. I tried the one that was remotely close, but it did not have the desired effect. Might I be able to disable it from the Siteground side though?

Here are the options from Otter:
Enable Custom CSS Module [Custom CSS module allows to add custom CSS to each block in Block Editor] N/A
Enable Blocks Animation Module [Blocks Animation module allows to add CSS animations to each block in Block Editor] N/A
Enable Visibility Condition Module [Blocks Conditions module allows to hide/display blocks to your users based on selected conditions] N/A
Make Section your default block for Pages [Every time you create a new page, Section block will be appended there by default] N/A
Optimize Animations CSS [Only load CSS for the animations that are used on the page. We recommend you to regenerate styles after you toggle this option] Tried
Enable Rich Schema [Control if you want to show rich schema in Product Review Block] N/A

    Hi @wtechrbr,

I have inspected the provided page https://woventechnologies.com/temp2/ using the browser’s console and noticed that you have enabled the Web Fonts Optimization functionality of our plugin. This option is most probably causing the issue because the font is not loaded in the default way from Google. You can try disabling this functionality for your site.

Alternatively, you can try preloading this specific Abril Fatface font by adding its URL in the Fonts Preloading section of our plugin.

That was it. Thank you so very much. I’ve disabled that specific option and all is well. I appreciate your help in tracking that down. Thank you!
