Conflict with "Older Posts" buttin

    Hi Tom,
    We received this message today from a user today:

    “Could you please fix the hyperlink at the bottom of the homepage that says “older posts”? It has not been working for at least 6 months.
    When you click it, it just refreshes the homepage. It does not move to the next page of older posts.”

    I checked all plugins for conflict and when I deactivate Counts-Per-Day, the problem is fixed. But we want to use CPD! ??

    We are using V4.3 (no code change) and Weaver II theme (no code changes).

    Hi Tom,
    More information on the above.
    The issue affects different browsers differently.

    Using Chrome a manual URL does not solve the problem;
    https://www.hiskingdomprophecy.com/page/2/ as all will diverts to the root.

    Using Explorer and Opera you can insert …/page/2/ works, but you can only get back to page 3.
    Safari still works perfectly and goes back to page 6. (I don’t know how many pages are the max. std. default).

    If the plugin is breaking the link, then you need to speak to the plugin developer.

    Based on what they say, you then need to post in the weaver forum below with all the info to get a final opinion from weaver.

    You may also want to test the newest generation of Weaver Theme which is Weaver Xtreme to see if it breaks there too, as at one point you will probably need to migrate to it given weaver II is end of life.

    Hi,

    i can’t reproduce this issue in my blogs. .../page/3/ works in all of them.
    In your blog it works without permalinks like:
    https://www.hiskingdomprophecy.com/?page=3

    CpD doesn’t change any links.
    You can try the version of my Pluginpage

    with a little Widget fix.

    Dear Tom,
    Thanks. I installed 4.3.1 but no change.
    Yes the, ‘/?page=n’ works manually, thanks for that.
    I guess I will need to take @scrambler advice and upgrade to Xtreme, but that is a lot to work to reconfigure. I guess it will work again after that ??

    Unless you actually installed Xtreme and tested that it works on it, there is no guarantee that would be the case. SO make that test first.
