Conflict with media attachment page

    Hi!
    There’s a problem between media attachment page and the cpt without cpt base slug

    if i have a cpt page named site.com/cpt-base/my-article
    and i upload a file named my-article.jpg wordpress create an attachment page with this slug:
    site.com/my-article

    when i use this plugin and remove cpt base there’s a conflict between these pages

    is there a way to prevent this?
    is possible to change the attachment slug automatically?

    Hi,

    that’s how WordPress works… you can install clean version of WP and then go and create page About that will have slug /about… and then create post About and it will also have slug /about and there will be same problem… so similar problem without any plugin, but with pure WP just to illustrate situation

    so this is not a problem related to my plugin, but it’s simple logic, that you can not have 2 different database records with same URL… or yes… you can… obviously… but then the one with higher priority will appear or it will throw some error when you’re using more complicated rewrites
