Conflict with Guzzle

I have a plugin that I’ve written using the PHRETS library, which includes and uses Guzzle. As soon as I activate the Constant Contact API plugin, Guzzle throws ConnectionException exceptions and breaks my plugin. I deactivate the Constant Contact API plug and everything works as expected. Any idea on the source of the conflict?
