Conflict with Gutenberg

Hi,
When using Jetpack and the Featured Content, there is the option to NOT show the associated tag in tag clouds and post meta. When this option is checked, there occurs an issue when saving posts in the new Gutenberg editor:
1. Create a new post, type a paragraph and then give that post the associated “featured” tag
2. Save the post and notice the tag field goes blank, but reloading the page will show that the tag been properly attributed to that post (confusing but but not the real issue)
3. Now select the pragraph and edit some of the block properties like background color in the Block settings context bar on the right
4. Without switching back to Document context bar, save the post again
5. Go back to the Document context bar and notice the “featured” tag has gone missing, reloading the page will show that the tag has been stripped from the post.Not sure if this is coming from Jetpack or the theme, but I hope this can be fixed soon, as a lot of other themes use this feature…

Hi @fstat that cannot be the purpose of that option. It’s supposed to hide that specific term from appearing in tag clouds and post meta on the public side, but it also makes the tag disappear on admin side in the Gutenberg editor.
This REALLY cannot be what is supposed to happen, as it does NOT behave like this in the classic editor.
