    Hi Robin,
First of all, I wanted to thank you for the plugin. I’ve been using it for a while and it’s great.

I noticed that there is a conflict between the Facebook Page Promoter Lightbox plugin and Featured image for Genesis. Sometimes it doesn’t display the full size backsground image on safari and practically never on Chrome.

Is there any way to use both plugins at the same time? some CSS?

    Thank you,

I’ve installed both plugins locally and tested in multiple browsers, but I’m unable to replicate this issue. Do you have a URL where I may see the issue in action? And can I confirm that this is the Facebook page plugin in question?

Hi Robin, Yes that’s the Facebook plugin.

Well, on my website if I activate the Facebook plugin I get the conflict and when I deactivate it, everything works just fine. So I deduce that must be the facebook plugin.

I’m gonna turn it on again so you can see the conflict in my website. This is my url: https://www.travelsauro.com/hike-mount-roraima-budget/

    Thank you!

Okay, I see the issue on your site now.

Would it be possible to see what happens if you have these plugins running, but deactivate Photon (in Jetpack)? For some reason, your site is sending two sets of data to the featured image script, and the second one is a Photon URL, which is supposed to be bypassed to get the data, because Photon doesn’t work with this plugin. I have a site running Photon to test against and don’t see a second set of data there, even with all three plugins in play, so I don’t know how it’s happening on your site. But I would be interested to see if the extra data disappears and things work again with Photon off.

Hi Robin, thanks for your help.

I’m running all plugins and I deactivated Photon and still getting the error. I think you might see two sets of data because I run a multi-language website?? I don’t know, just an idea.

    Any clue?
    Thanks

It could be the multilingual site, depending on how you have that set up, although I still am not sure why. Can you disable the Facebook plugin so I can see if there are still two sets of data being sent through when it’s working? If so, then even though that’s weird, it’s likely not the issue.

I do feel like a third element present on your site has to be a factor here, since it’s happening consistently on your site, but not mine. The only way to figure that out would be to go through and deactivate all the plugins, see if it works with just the two in question, and then reactivate the others, one at a time, until the issue reappears. Do you have a development/staging site where you can replicate your site and find the point at which it stops working (assuming you don’t want to go through this process on your live site)?

    Hi,

I deactivated the Facebook plugin.. now it’s working just fine.

Maybe I’ll check deactivating other plugins tomorrow and see what happens.

    thanks,

It does look like the featured image data is still being sent twice, so even though that’s odd, it may not be the source of the issue, since it’s working. So that may be a red herring. Since there are no overt script errors on your site, and they’re working elsewhere together, I think if you want to use both, at this point it’s a question of digging. Sorry to not have an easy answer for you–thank you for your patience on this!
