First, your plugins worked great for WooCommerce migration. However, during the import I received a number of “Parsing failed. Reason: Importing Order(ID) conflicts with an existing post”.

I had initially migrated the old full site (with orders) to a staging site. The old Woo site was up for a month or so while working on the new site, and new orders came in during the time I was creating new posts in the staging site. Before using your import order plugin, I had deleted all old orders from the staging site to have a clean start. I think those new orders from the past month are conflicting with posts (products) I have created in the intervening month. Is the Post ID important in matching orders to customers, or anything like that? Or can I simply renumber those posts in the CSV file and import them? Thanks for any help you can give.

    Hi @mbolsinga,

Thank you for getting in touch with us

In WooCommmerce the customers and orders are linked using the user’s email address. So, the post ID is not required to link orders to the customers. You can overcome the ID conflict issue by unmapping the order ID column or by removing the conflicting IDs in the order import CSV file. Hope this is clear.
Please note that the order numbers will also change when the orders are imported with a new ID.
