    Hi,

This week I have noted that I am no longer able to view my lists of a custom content type created by the encyclopaedia pro plugin. The page times out.

I have had an email from WordPress reporting that it is the Yoast SEO plugin that is causing the timeout with the following error:

    ********

    Error Details
    =============
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 196 of the file /public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-replace-vars.php. Error message: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded

    *********

I have also contacted the maintainer of the encyclopaedia pro plugin, as I am not sure who is best placed to help me with this error.

    Thanks

    Hello @narlytom!

This error typically occurs when the plugin update couldn’t complete due to a server or connection hiccup. What did you do before you encountered this issue? Did you update Yoast SEO? If you did, we need you to remove the plugin and install it again by manually uploading the plugin files via FTP.

All your settings are saved in the database so even if you remove the plugin and install it again, your settings are safe.

For the health and safety of your site, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before installing, updating, or removing plugins. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.

    Let us know the result!

I have Yoast set to auto-update with Jetpack so I’m not sure exactly when the issue started, but I have plenty of backups to try and figure it out,.

Unfortunately, removing and reinstalling the Yoast plugin, with manually via FTP and also via the plugins dashboard still causes the issue.

Disabling the Yoast plugin resolves the issue.

Is there another way that this can be fixed?
Perhaps by dropping a certain table in the database?

    Hi @narlytom ,

We are sorry for the issues you are having. Can you please confirm if everything is updated on your site (themes, plugins, WordPress)?

If everything is updated and your site meets the plugin requirements here. We suggest submitting a bug report on GitHub for our developers. It’s a good thing that you’ve already reported this issue to the 3rd party plugin as well.
