    Hi, we experienced conflict with elementor, it resolved when your we disable your plugin.
    It creates issue with css, columns compact, as if showing mobile version.

    Thank you for reporting that your website is disturbed through the Footnotes plugin. Sorry for the trouble to narrow the issue down.

    I can’t currently test easily in Elementor but when I did, I didn’t see this bug, and I’d also the opportunity to witness that there was no such bug on a big website using Elementor and Footnotes.

    However, another bug report posted just before yours has brought up when reproducing the bug at my end that there’s an issue with all Footnotes versions since 2.5.11, so I’ve recommended v2.5.10.

    At another level, thhere might be an issue with scripts? Footnotes has a plain JavaScript mode as opposed to using jQuery, and with alternative tooltips enabled it won’t load JS libraries. I don’t know if that has an impact though.

    Sorry I’m not helpful right now, hopefully the bug will be found and fixed soon.

    I understand, I’ll try with different version, and will see if scripts are causing issue.

    Good news, i found issue.

    My way of putting footnotes is ((footnote)), but accidently I put it in italic and this happened https://ibb.co/7khNxJQ.
