This plugin is causing issues with Elegant Themes’ theme called Divi.

    I’m using it on https://www.dancarrphotography.com

If you view the home page and scroll down you will see what should happen, as you scroll, the menu bar and logo shrinks.

If you go to https://www.dancarrphotography.com/blog you will see a page with a sidebar that’s using the sticky widget. You’ll notice in Firefox at least, if you scroll down on this page, the menu and logo do not shrink as they should do.

I’m using the shrinking menu/logo as an example, but this issue also happens with many other design elements on this theme like slide in images which don’t work at all for example.

Are you able to take a look and see why this is happening?

    Thanks!

  • Are you sure that it’s not the Divi theme that is at fault? I know that Elegant Themes created a theme specifically for a plugin that I co-developed and the theme caused nothing but problems for our users as it was so poorly written.

Well no, I’m not a developer so I have no proof either way other than that I already spoke to Elegant Themes support and they said to contact the plugin developer.

I don’t really know how it would be possible to determine who is at fault?

All I know is the theme works fine with everything else, just this one plugin causing some issues. My WordPress knowledge isn’t deep enough to go any further than that so I was helping this forum might be able to help.

Can you replicate the problems when you use the plugin with the default 2014 theme?

Well no I can’t because the problem is with some jquery (i think) effects used in the Divi theme. Those same effects aren’t used in default theme.

Then I suspect that the issue may lie in the Divi theme. From what I have seen, ET themes are not coded to WPORG standards.

    whistlerdan!

I see you have enabled “Use jQuery(window).load() hook” option – that was the right move!

Do you still have the problems? I have checked your blog page in FF – everything seems fine!

    Hey Max!

Thanks for posting and thanks a million for such a sweet plugin.

Yes eventually I found the options menu and enabled that option which solved the problem entirely and also solved a few layout issues by using the top and bottom padding.

Initially I did not find that there was such an options menu since it was in the “appearance” section which was a little unusual to me so I totally missed it.

Thanks again though for such great work and also for being proactive here on the forum!
