    Hi @eborg9,

thanks for posting. I don’t have a license for e-Forms and I did not test compatibility, didn’t know the software before your post. I do have two few followup questions:

    • Did you place the name directory on the same page as the e-form?
    • Are you familiair with the Chrome Debug toolbar? If so, can you please post the JSON response of the form?

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen Peters

No they are not on the same page. Sorry, Idon’t know how to do what you’re asking with the Debug Toolbar and JSON response.

The only thing I can give you is the error message which is posted above.
I don’t mind creating a temp account for you to log into the site if you don’t mind helping.

    Email me at [email protected]
    Thanks

    Hi @eborg9,
can you please post the URL to your site and the page where you get the error?

If you disable my plugin, all your problems are gone?

    Kind regards,

    Unfortunately that is true.
I’m reactivating the plug in now. I have 3, but I’ve been using the contact form as the test form.
    https://chromodisorder.org/contact/

The problem is in Edge, Chrome and Safari. If you fill it out and press send, you’ll see the error.

Hi @eborg9, Thanks. I see the error message yes. And when you deactivate it, the contact form works? Is that correct?

P.S.: From what I see now, the form is trying to submit on admin-ajax.php, no visitor except from you is ever admin, nor logged in. So that does not work.

admin-ajax.php tells the browser: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.. Because the first character is Y, the error message of the form is explained: HTTP Error: Unexpected token Y in JSON at position 0

So if you now deactivate Name Directory, the contact form works? Is that correct?

    Kind regards,

Yes, if I deactivate the Name Directory the forms work again.
    I will deactivate now.

    Hey eborg9,

I have seen that your contactform works now. The admin-ajax.php file also works correct now. I’ll look into what I can find.

Keep in mind that I do not have this plugin to really test it. It might have been that I missed a best practice somewhere to hook into WordPress.

Do you know if the e-Forms plugin is encrypted?

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen Peters

Yes, the forms work when the plug in is deactivated.
Have you had any luck determining a possible fix?

    (@jeroenpeters1986)

    Hi @eborg9,

No I have not. That is why I asked of you know if the plug-in is encrypted or not when you buy it.

As I said, I also do not have this plug-in myself. It’s a paid plug-in and I am not a company, so I was wondering if you have a spare license?

    Kind regards,

    Hi @eborg9,

it should have been fixed now with the release of v1.8.1.
Will you please test this and let me know if it also works for you?

    Hi Jeroen,
I updated the plug in last night and it works!
Thank you so much for taking the time to troubleshoot this.
We were really depending on your plug in for a very important page on our site and I can’t tell you how happy we are.
BTW here’s the page where we’re using it: https://chromodisorder.org/genetic-and-medical-glossary/

I can’t say I’ve ever had a developer go the extra mile as you have.
    I really appreciate it.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi @eborg9,

thank you for validating the new version. I am glad that it works!
Nice to see you can put it to such good use.

I appreciate your kind words. Would you consider writing a review or even put down a small donation? I use these donations to purchase my phpStorm license in which i develop the plugin. No obligations btw.

    Kind regards,
