    Hi there,

I’m using Author Slug Editor plugin which can create custom role based URL slugs for author profiles. For example different users can have a custom URL based on their Role like this:

    https://example.com/author/user1
    https://example.com/editor/user2
    https://example.com/contributor/user3

Now in the Author Archive Settings of Rank Math, there is no option to remove the “author” base slug and it creates a conflict with the above created custom URLs and replaces the custom URL like /editor/ with /author/.

I want to keep custom URLs for my authors. If I try to save it as empty, it automatically adds “author” word or reload. If I try to save it by adding a slash /, then it again causes an error which creates multiple URLs for same user. For example all the created custom sulgs like /editor/ or /contributor/ will work for a single user.

    Please fix this. Thanks.

    Hello @kinngjatt,

Thank you for contacting the support.

We checked the plugin you mentioned on our end, and the author URLs are working with every base even when Rank Math is disabled. So you can use the / in the author base settings of our plugin as it isn’t causing any issue with the base set by your plugin.

Hope that helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.
