Conflict with customizer

I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing this issue in BetterDocs plugin.
May I know which theme you’re currently using? We have a very similar issue with Twenty Twenty theme that we’re already aware of it. Our dev team is working on it and this will be fixed very soon.

If you’re using any other theme please inform us the theme name so that we will check with that particular theme as well and try to fix this as soon as possible.

Yes, I’ve found the same issue with Twenty Seventeen theme as well.

Since we’re using the native WordPress Post Type feature, users who have an Editor/Admin role can write and edit the docs. Also just like the Post feature of WordPress, History will available there as well like this: https://d.pr/SQriE2

Is it possible to grand access to those docs only to subscribers, who wouldn’t have edit/view access to any other type of post/page?

Unfortunately, this is not possible actually since BetterDocs is fully based on WordPress native Custom Post Type rule.

The user role and capability will also be the same. Subscriber cant edit/write the Posts/Docs actually!

Hello, but I aim to do a wiki with quite a lot of contributors. I do not want to give them access to the rest of the website. Will have to think about it.
