    Hi there,
I have the Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce plugin active on my site, and have noticed that it causes the additional content for the customer completed email to be shown, even though I have it deactivated in the settings.

I’m assuming it causes this only in the customer completed email, as it’s the only email type that displays the tracking information provided by the Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce plugin.

Is this a conflict you would be able to resolve, or should I contact Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce plugin about it?

As a workaround is there a way I can add a class to the additional content output, and then hide it using css?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello again,
The guys at Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce have taken a look and believe the issue is due to default behaviour of the Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer plugin.

Any chance you might be able to resolve the issue or suggest a workaround I can use please?

    Thanks again!

    Hi there!

    I’d be happy to help.

You’ve mentioned “that it causes the additional content for the customer completed email to be shown, even though I have it deactivated in the settings“.

Could you confirm which settings is this exactly? Sending a screenshot will greatly help us understanding the issue better.

    Regards,

    Hi @karlalevelup,
Thank you for your help ??

The settings can be seen here: https://ibb.co/rH7pvkC

Both are left off so there shouldn’t be any additional content displayed.
However with Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce active, the order complete email includes the additional content.

    Hi, @japenz

    Thanks for the screenshot.

It’s odd, the preview and my test emails will not include the additional content if I have that turned off.

Our Email Designer plugin has an override for the WooCommerce emails and we are using “hooks” to show parts of the emails. This is similar to how WooCommerce default templates do it.

When I compare the Customer’s Completed order email template to the our other email type templates, the same line of code is used to control the additional content’s visibility.

I then downloaded AST’s plugin files and saw that they also have the override for the customer completed order email. However, they don’t have the conditional like ours(which makes sense, since they don’t know about our Email Customizer option). Here’s a screenshot of their difference.

If the Completed Order email prioritizes/uses the AST’s email template, it will always show the additional content as long as it has a value.

I am not sure if AST can help you in changing their email template code, but I think the solution here is deleting the additional text from the Email Customizer settings if you don’t need to show it.

I hope this helps, and let me know if I can help you further with this.

    Regards,
    Karla

    Hi @karlalevelup,

I was able to resolve the issue by adding the Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer customer-completed-order template to my child theme.

    Thank you for your help!

I also have problems with using ?Advanced Shipment Tracking for WooCommerce and Kadence Email Designer. I can’t edit the completed order e-mail body text. When I deactivate AST, it works…
Is there an easy way to add tracking info to completed orders that will not conflict with Kadence Email Designer?
    Thank you

    Hello @atelierkmercier

Are you using a child theme? If so, can you replace the email templates as the previous user mentioned as their fix. For example, the file wp-content/plugins/kadence-woocommerce-email-designer/templates/woo/emails/customer-completed-order.php has a message at the top that reads:

This template can be overridden by copying it to yourtheme/woocommerce/emails/customer-completed-order.php.

While you can override the file by copying the completed order template to your theme files without a child theme, the files may be deleted when your theme updates.

Thank you for your answer. I also had problems with translation of the e-mails so I decided to not use the plugin after all.
