Conflict – replacing (( and )) with another plugin

    Hi – we’re running footnotes and also a plugin called Geodirectory. Getting an error on the Geodirectory side and they said the following:

    The issue seems to be with the “footnotes” plugin, it is replacing random bits of JS with HTML and breaking things. It seems to be replacing (( and )) unambiguously.

    Any idea if we can resolve this?

    Hi @seangw83,

    Does changing the footnote tag shortcode in the Plugin settings fix the errors? There are 8 available presets to choose from, or you can define your own custom tag.

    The setting can currently be found under ManFisher > footnotes > General Settings (though the plugin settings will be moving under the default WordPress Settings menu in the next release (2.7.1)).
