Conflict Error: Sliced Invoices & Gmail SMTP

  • I get the following error after a completed stripe transaction. This error appears above the “Success” page message.

    “Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in …/wp-content/plugins/gmail-smtp/PHPMailer/class.phpmailer.php on line 3721”

    There seems to be a conflict or a missing piece between the two plugins but I am not sure where it is, please advise.

    Hi Mike,

    Sorry you’re having trouble! The error is coming from your SMTP plugin, so you’d likely get better information from the developer for that plugin. That said, it looks like debugging is enabled in your wp-config.php file, as you shouldn’t see PHP notices with debugging turned off. If you set debug back to “false” this should resolve the issue.

    Wow! Thanks, Andrea for your amazingly fast response! Although debugging is set to false already, I will check with the developer of the SMTP plugin.

    Thanks for confirming! Let us know if there is anything we need to do from our end and we’ll be glad to check into it, but hopefully the other plugin author will be able to provide a quick fix.
