Conflict Between Twentig and CCS

On trying to use the [field excerpt] tag, I found that the page would not save. Having disabled and re-enabled all plugins, I can see there’s a conflict between this Plugin and Twentig. Specifically, with Twentig’s extend_exceprt functionality.

On save (regardless of editor type) this throws a JSON error in a pink bar, and fails to save. At the front-end, users see a message to say the site is having problems.

Removing either the [field excerpt] shortcode, or disabling Twentig solves the problem.
