Confirmation Message Not Being Sent

We have our contact forms set so that when someone completes it they will receive an email that includes a confirmation and message. We have tested the form several times now using a variety of email address (NOT the one listed in our account). We completely fill out the forms but have not received any confirmation email.
We have it set to send a message with a specific response. I’ve clicked all the appropriate options, filled in the email response content and made sure that the email field is enabled. And yet no confirmations are being sent.
