• I’m loving Mailpoet and both my welcome emails and newsletters have been sending just fine, but nobody’s getting the confirmation emails. I have to go to my subscribers list and manually mark each one confirmed. I’ve tried resending the confirmation email but it’s not received. The recipient has checked their spam folder too, but nothing. Note that I run my “lists” as segments of the WordPress Users list and new subscribers are added as one of three User Roles through the PaidMembershipsPro plugin. I have Mailpoet sending all WordPress emails, though, so I’m not sure why it’s not working. Here’s my signup page: https://wordpioneers.com/membership-account/membership-checkout/?level=2

  • Hi!

I checked the logs of your account and I can see that the emails are actually delivered.

Could you please add a DKIM to your sender domain? That might improve the deliverability:

Can you also create a new test list with a valid email address of yours and try to send an email? I’d like you to make the test skipping those segments with the custom user roles.

    Please let me know.

I’ve tried adding a DKIM but the status always shows as invalid.

I created a test email to the “Newsletter mailing list” and it went through, but how does this all fix the problem of confirmation emails? I’m always having to go edit the new subscriber and manually change their status to Subscribed.

    Hi there @rbrinks,

I checked your Membership Checkout page and don’t see an opt-in checkbox that would allow your customers to sign up for newsletters and receive a confirmation email. Without an opt-in checkbox, they will always be added as Unsubscribed.

Can you please ensure that enabling “Subscribe in registration form” in MailPoet > Settings > Basics adds an opt-in checkbox? If not, there might be an issue with your registration form and MailPoet integration.

At the same time, resending a confirmation email should work. I have just signed up via your form. Can you please resend a confirmation email for it and I’ll check logs? You can find it by searching “mailpoet” in your subscribers ??

    Cheers!

OK, I’ve enabled “Subscribe in registration form” and I’ve resent you a confirmation email.
