Confirmation Emails being Sent to Spam

Presently, I have confirmation emails setup on Visual Form Builder. The emails are going through, but they are being sent to spam.
I looked into the Visual Form Builder FAQ’s and could only find this snippet of info:
Check SPAM folder
A quick look in the SPAM folder will tell you if the emails are being routed into the folder. If so, simply train your email client to not treat those emails as SPAM
Unfortunately, this email is for a business owner and it would be very unreasonable to expect each one of her clients to configure their emails just so that they can properly receive her confirmation email.
Is there a way I can get gmail (and other email clients) to not push the confirmation emails to the SPAM folder?
