Confirmation email not going out

Issue: When people sign up to be a new member and sign up for a new blog (all in one sign up process), they do not get confirmation email hence cannot use anything.

I tried doing a search for this error, and I do not seem to understand what else I need to provide to get an answer..

Could someone please help? I’ll answer any questions if you need to know more..
