    Hello everyone,

I’m using the AI Engine chatbot on my website and need some help with its configuration. My goal is to limit the chatbot’s responses to the information available on my website and prevent it from generating invented responses.

I’ve tried guiding the model by formulating a specific prompt in the “Main Settings”, but I’m unsure about the effectiveness of this approach. The prompt I’ve used is designed to guide the chatbot to provide clear and precise responses using only the site content, not to answer questions that are out of the site’s context, to avoid certain specific words, and to verify its responses before communicating them.

I would like to know if this prompt influences the chatbot’s behavior and, if so, how. Moreover, without resorting to fine-tuning, are there other techniques I could use to achieve my goal?

Thank you in advance for your help and I look forward to your suggestions.

    Best regards,

    Hello @mtevai777 ,

You can’t stop the AI model from using its pretrained knowledge because that’s what it’s all about (sadly)!???

if you wanna give it a shot, you can try fine-tuning the model yourself. But fair warning, it’s gonna take a bunch of time and data (like around 2500 entries) and your chatbot might not turn out super chatty ( not the best idea if you’re not sure what you’re doing). Instead, we suggest using smart prompts to limite the topics for the chatbot.

You can discuss this on our?Discord?server, in the #ai-prompt-engineering salon. Thank you for your understanding!
