    First of all, I am quite new to WP, second I have only basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and none of PHP. I have decent designing and writing skills, but I am not good with coding.

    I’d like to know how to setup my “Categories” page/top menu element so that the page button remains dropdown menu only, that just lists the categories. When I drag-configure the stuff in the menu setup in the admin panel I added a page and categories as it’s ‘children’. However, I can click on the ‘categories’ and I am navigated to a blank page. I do not want that.

    I am using this theme.
    All I want to do is to have the same “categories” menu on my page like on the demo template in the link, but I can’t find out how to do that.

  • As we do not have access to Commercial Themes, you should refer to the theme dev.(s) for support with this theme:

    https://themefuse.com/demo/wp/gadgetry/

    That said, if supported by your theme, you can add a custom menu with your Pages/Categories/Tags/Posts/Custom Taxonony

    This theme is free. I must have misexplained my issue. I configure the menus and pages, but I can’t make the menu item (eg. ‘categories’) to be a dropdown menu. That’s it ??

    The www.remarpro.com support forums are meant for the core application, themes and plugins that are distributed on www.remarpro.com. We do not support third party themes here.

    I thought those features are configured by the core application. Thank you, though. I will look for somewhere else to ask.

    I see…to get a Page to display under another page in your menu, in the Menu Editor, simply drag it right one notch…then save.

    Will then look like this for three pages in the editor:

    Anchor Page
    ===>Next Page
    ===>Last Page

    With theme support you can even add sub-sub-items or sub-sub-sub-items:

    Anchor Page
    ===>Next Page
    ======>Another Page
    ===>Next Page
    ======>Another Page
    ======>Another Page
    ======>Another Page
    =========>Another Page

    Yep, I know that. My problem is that I do not want my anchor page to be a page and to link to some ID page on my blog. I mean, you hover on Anchor page and if you click it, you will go to a page. I just want it to be dropdown menu with the categories, which are clickable, of course and have pages.

    I will try to explain in pictures, because obviously I can’t express myself.
    I made an example on my localhost platform. I made 2 pages: ‘home’ and ‘categories’. ‘Categories has 3 categories as a dropdown menu.

    However, if you click it (not hte categories in the dropdown menu), it leads you to a blank page. I do not want that

    I realized how stupid I am, but I fixed it. ?? I had no idea that I can add custom link menu without it containing a link. I added a menu with let’s say / entry in the link. After it was added, I deleted the slash, added the child submenus and it worked like a charm.
    Case closed.

    Next time just enter # for this menu item…
