Configure Dropbox Path & Upload Concerns

  • Hi there, love the plugin. It is making everything a lot easier for me.

    I have a couple of things I need help with.

    1)I know that I am able to define custom folders structure for file uploads if I do it locally, is there anyway I can do the same for Dropbox?

    2)I’d like to hide the Meta Data for the file upload location for checkout but i’d also like to know what the name of the file is on the order. Is there anyway it can just be the filename only, instead of seeing the full path? Right now it says Dropbox: Product-14/Date01-19-21 . If it isnt possible, then is there anyway we can change the Product ID into Product Name for the path?

    3)When uploading a file, the ADD TO CART button is enabled and it is easy for the customer to click add and interrupt the upload and will result getting the product added to the cart without upload. I do notice that if required field option is enabled, the ADD TO CART button is disabled until the upload is finished, its a great feature to have but it takes away the instant Calculation. Is there anyway we can make this better?

    Hi,

    1) No, sorry, no such settings.

    2) Try using ‘Hide meta in cart/order details?’ setting. As for renaming, unfortunately, no such setting. Probably only via WC hooks and some custom code.

    3) A specific option either takes part in the price calculation or not. So, you have to make it required or not required based on this. I agree that disabling ‘add to cart’ during file upload would be nice addition. It is just not implemented yet.
