    Hi,

    I keep getting this error:

“There is a configuration error in the plugin. Please Save the settings again and follow the instruction.”

I tried to deactivate it and re-install it but this error persists

If I delete its database tables then re-install the plugin?
how are they called in the database?

We use Windows IIS server and the WordFence plugin is fully working

    How do I fix it?
    Let me know soon, thanks
    Best regards,

    ??Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out!

After changing any path, a notification appears with details on what needs to be added to IIS config. Once it’s added, make sure to confirm the insertion on HMWP Ghost. If you don’t do it, this message tells you that you haven’t passed that step and it won’t work.

Let us know if you face any further difficulties.

    Hi @petersquirrly ,

this error doesn’t go away even after the necessary content between <rule> tags is been added to IIS config

i think the plugin must be broken on our site somehow, how to fully remove it (from the database too) and re-install it from scratch ?

    How do I fix it?
    Let me know soon, thanks

    Hi @madleine ,

Did you follow from scratch each step from this tutorial?
    https://hidemywpghost.com/setup-hide-my-wp-on-windows-iis-server/

We’ve just tested on a IIS server and all went OK.

Make sure you don’t set the same custom name for wp-admin and wp-login paths.

Try first with the predefined paths for Safe Mode & Ghost Mode.

    Hi @johndarrel

    In my HideMyWP Ghost account:

    • “Connected Sites” tab has my website URL
    • “Orders/Licenses” tab is empty

this plugin was previously installed on my website but then there were some issues with the website and I deleted the WP installation and I re-installed WP from scratch recently (almost 2 weeks ago)

How do I get the token to appear?

    Let me know, thanks

    ??Hi Madleine,

Most likely you are logged on a free account instead of a premium one.

Please try using other emails / accounts and see if you can’t find the right one.

In case you can’t, please let us know here what is your website so we can search for it in our database.
