    Hi there,

    We have recently migrated our website to a new server and now we have this issue with hCaptcha as it says ‘Site configuration error: Cannot communicate with hCaptcha server.’

    cURL extension is installed, and here is the System Info content:

    Hi @snarf5,

    Thank you for providing System Info. No issues there. The problem might be related to the settings of your webserver – the Microsoft-IIS/10.0. The message “Site configuration error: Cannot communicate with hCaptcha server” says that requests from your server to the Captcha server are blocked.

    Do you see any issues on the Site Health page ( /wp-admin/site-health.php )?

    Hi, thanks for the reply. No issue seems to be shown in Site Health page too.

    May i know what is there to check at the webserver? so that i can communicate this to our hosting server provider.

    You can try to turn on debugging and look into debug.log. after trying to Check Site Config on the General settings page. Then present information from the debug.log file here and to the hosting server provider.

    This is not our issue – if requests are blocked, we are unbale to help, unfortunately.

    I have prepared hCaptcha 4.10.0-RC3 with enhanced error messaging. It may help. You can download zip here.

    Kindly let me know which error message you see on the General page upon Checking the Site Config.

    I tried to enable the debug earlier and i dont see any meaningful error message related to hcaptcha nor any message saying about configuration/communication error.

    Hi there,

    just to update you that i have installed the hcaptcha package with enhanced error messaging, and i am now seeing this error message:

    “Site configuration error: cURL error 28: Resolving timed out after 10011 milliseconds”

    Kindly advise if you might have notice anything/anywhere that i can check here

    Hi @snarf5,

    It is a standard problem with server misconfiguration. Please read Hostinger’s recommendations on how to fix it.

    If it does not help, please reach your host provider.

    Hi there,

    Sorry for late reply. But yes, I have communicated this issue to the hosting provider and are still waiting for the response.

    Nonetheless, most likely it is indeed some issue on the server side. Will give update again if there is any news.
