Configurable tooltip direction

    Dear developers,

    would it be possible to add a select box for tooltip direction to the plugin?
    It would sometimes be beneficial to have a fixed tooltip direction, especially if someone would like to customize it.

    It should be fairly easy to implement as it just needs to be passed as an option object to shape.bindTooltip. Please see reference here: https://leafletjs.com/reference-1.2.0.html#tooltip-option

    Hi there, we’ll consider this as a potential feature for a future release. The plugin currently positions the tooltip automatically since Draw Attention can be displayed in a variety of layouts. For example, on different devices or screen sizes, there may not be room in a consistent position. The tooltip tries to position itself automatically based on the available screen size and does its best to keep it on screen.

    Is there a specific area that you find is displaying off screen? or you just have a preference for where it displays?

    The positioning itself is working ok, but sometimes it would be great if the direction could be chosen. For example – you always want to display the tooltip above or below the center of the item, because of the design. Currently, this is impossible, as the tooltip automatically positions left/right of the center and it’s thus never centered.

    The tooltip layout is only supported in the Pro version of our plugin and we are not allowed to use these forums for support for the premium versions of our plugin. Please contact [email protected] if you need further help with this.
