Config not being used

Hello –

I am just getting started with this plugin, I changed the designated areas within the config-sample.php file, renamed it to config.php and uploaded it but it did not seem to have an effect in the plugin settings screen, nor the output of the footer.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
