Conecting categories to Posts

Hi All,

I have a template I got from elegant themes im trying to set up the category posts on, if you look at my site Motelsmart.com you can see ive added a few. What Ive found do far is it will only display post that have a category assigned to them, but it will only let me a 2, and sometimes it makes 2 of them as duplicate? its really weird.. It will only let me add 2 no matter how I try

the post/categories im referring to are the ones right below the navigation, there should be 4 of them but I cant figure it out so there is only 2…
