Conditional Widgets based on content height?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to enable/disable widgets from being displayed if they are causing the height of the page to be needlessly extended?

Basically, if the content of a page is short, the widgets should not display as they add a ton of white space as they only sit in the sidebar. Also, this causes the comments section to be below the whitespace which is very annoying.

Is there a plugin or way of doing this manually?
