Conditional Information

I use the following code in a widget:
{dtstart format=”M. d”} – {linking_title} ({city})

The problem I’m having is that sometimes an event will not have a single or specific city and the widget will display, for example, Mar. 10 – Event ()

Is it possible to have a conditional statement to remove the {city} field if one is not supplied, so that the parenthesis are not there?
