Conditional Images Not appearing

  • Im in the process of setting up conditional images for a product. When options are selected the main product image is never replaced and I dont see the composite image anywhere on the page. My theme is Flatsome and I’ve checked the box in the theme’s options to ensure it supports “default WooCommerce gallery slider for plugin compatibility, such as “Additional Variation Images”.

    Any guidance is appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    As far as I understand, you’d like to swap the main Composite Product image with a custom image when specific products are selected in components. Is that right?

    If so, then can you please have a look at this guide: https://somewherewarm.com/composite-products-conditional-images-mini-extension/ and ensure that you have set up Scenarios similarly to how we describe in the Image Swapping example?

    If your Scenarios look good but the main Composite image is still not getting replaced, then can you please temporarily switch your active theme back to a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Seventeen or the WooCommerce compliant Storefront theme and check if Scenarios work as expected there?

    To avoid causing any problems to your live site, the best way to do this would be to try setting up a staging site, for example using a plugin such as WP Staging or Duplicator — and then troubleshoot the issue on the staging site. Note that some hosts provide a Control Panel option for creating development/staging sites easily — if you are not sure about this, it might be worth asking your host as this is definitely the easiest and fastest way to do it.
