Conditional Group Fields Validation / Error Messages Not Working With CF7 V4.8

As the title suggests, validation and error messages on fields inside a conditional group are not working with CF7 V4.8, does anyone have any idea of a fix yet (apart from rolling back to CF7 V4.7)?

I’m not quite sure what the CF7 author has done in V4.8 (I’m not a professional coder) but he seems to completely have wrecked the functionality of any CF7 extension made by a different author with this latest version. I simply don’t understand why he has messed up something which already just “works.”
