Conditional Fields won’t work

I have simple registration form with two user roles as dropdown list to choose from. Both user roles has different profile fields, but i can’t get fields working conditionally with first user role selection field.
Afterwards I tried to create a completely new form and dropdown menu with simple numeric choices (1,2,3). Then I tried to get second field (textarea) appear when choice 2 has been selected from first field. Nothing worked. Not simple numeric nor alphabetical choices either. Conditional Fields seems to have no effect at all.

edit: 48 minutes of messing around, I actually got it working!
In the conditional field, you need to enter the Role ID, as seen in the screenshot below
