Hi, I just discovered this plugin and it’s really great. I created conditional fields, it worked perfectly so far until I realized the conditional fields: [country] and [language] are both showing in the Email Subject, even when [country] is not selected, it shows the first country in the list…

When one option in the dropdown menu [menu-231] is selected, then the group fields appear and people can choose the [country]. If they select their favorite language, then they can choose the [language].

So I want the Email Subject to show what [country] OR what [language] they chose.

      Contact – [menu-231] [country] [language]

Unfortunately, the Email Subject I get is:

Contact – Favorite Language United States Spanish

The country is not selected, but the language is (both can’t be at the same time, it’s a dropdown menu), so why is the country (default, first in the list) showing in the subject? Is there a way to add something like:

Contact – [menu-231] [country] OR [language]

Depending on which field is selected?

Thanks a lot for your help! ??

You could do it like this:

    Contact – [menu-231][countrygroup] [country][/countrygroup][languagegroup] [language][/languagegroup]

assuming that your wrapping groups are called countrygroup and languagegroup. You should obviously change these so they fit your case.
