conditional fields and multistep – weird behaviour

We are using the multi step form plugin along with conditional fields. Once the form is filled out and the user clicks on submit all blocks which were previously opened by conditional fields get closed and there is a noticeable delay before being forwarded to the next form page.

Is there a workaround? So that the form is submitted without all conditional elements collapsed?

Perhaps anybody else here has noticed the same and can point me to the right direction.
