Concern with how plugin works

    Hello, I’m interested in using this plugin but my concern is where it says “Plugin changes all SQL queries by extending the standard search to selected fields of Advanced Custom Fields.”

    Does that mean the plugin permanently changes all of my SQL queries? For example, if I test the plugin and then uninstall it, will any of its effects remain on the site?

    Hi @recoildesign,

    The plugin modifies queries only when searching for posts on the search page. If you disable plugin then everything works by default. The modification of queries isn’t constant.

    Thank you! That does answer my question and I appreciate the response.

    I do actually have one more question: is it possible to also show results for the ACF File field? For example, the site I’m working on has a page that lists downloadable PDF files and I’d like those file names to also be searchable.
