• Hi,

I am relatively new to CPTs and this is my first Hierarchical one. Need to make a CPT called ‘Course’ or ‘Training Plan’ and have the the name of the plan, with weeks, and days. So once created, URLs would look like so:

    https://mydomain.com/course/course-name/week-1/day-1/

So I create the ‘Course’ CPT. Then ‘Add New Course’ and create a post titled with ‘Course Name’. Then, add another post called ‘Week 1’ and make its parent the previous ‘Course Name’. Finally, I’d create a post called ‘Day 1’, and make its parent ‘Week 1’. I would build this out for 4 weeks/30 days. Or maybe I have an 8 week/60 day course. Whatever.

My question: Am I doing this right? Is there a more efficient way to do this? It is hard to come by good examples of Hierarchical CPTs.

Seems like you should be able to do this a better way.

    Thanks,

    jkinley
