Comprehensive, powerful, reliable – wouldn’t be without it

We’ve used the free version of Shield on all our sites for years – often in conjunction with the Sucuri plugin since there are some useful non-overlapping features. Shield is very comprehensive – they seem to have thought about just about everything & it can take a little while to work through all the config options. It is very effective at keeping load due to brute force and hacking attempts within tolerable limits. The free support is also excellent. We are now in the process of purchasing the Pro version for all our sites (price breaks are pretty good for quantity), in large part for the improved automatic anti-bot features – bad bots increasingly a problem for us.
