Composition Blinks and disappears

  • This is a continuing problem on all of my sites since I upgraded to Edge 3.0.

    Here’s the problem. Whenever I upload a new or an older composition with changes. You seen the space for the composition, the composition blinks and disappears leaving a blank space the size of the composition.

    What I do to try and make it work:

    Delete my current version of Edge Suite. Download the most recent dev version from your link off the FAQ page and install it.

    Re-upload all compositions. The problem is still there. Recently I’ve had to do this 3 or 4 times and sometimes that works. Recently I’ve to go into php file and deleted everything I could find and then start the procedure all over again.

    I see the “stage” div I don’t see “_preloader” but I don’t know where to look.

    I have jquery no conflict checked
    I have run Edge Suite in debug mode checked.

    I just ran through the procedure again, including emptying the php database and that did not help.

    After running through the procedure a few more times I finally got the body composition to come up. I still can’t get the header image to show and I’ve place a poster img in the file.

    I’ve turned off all of the plugins and it still didn’t work.

    I don’t understand why one composition works and the other doesn’t.

    The problem has been resolved. I made 2 changes:

    1. Deleted all of the svg files out of the images folder. While Edge works with them evidently the plugin does not.

    2. Changed the name of the image from newriver_logo2.jpg to newriverlogo.jpg.

    None of these changes are in the FAQs. Hours of trial and error.

    Hi,
    that all sounds really strange. Did you empty the browser cache in between?
