    Hi,

I installed Complianz on a WordPress multisite network. I understand I have to configure the plugin on each site. My issue so far is that the admin of the plugin is in English despite the fact that French is the default language. So are the cookie policy pages generated by the plugin.

BTW, when do you plan to add the subdomain global management to the plugin ?

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Hello @antho-artnum,

If you had already configured your Site Language in French, but if the plugin’s back-end menus and the generated legal documents are still displayed in English; this is likely due to your translation files that have to be updated first. You can do this under Dashboard > Updates in WordPress, scroll down on the page and click the “Update translations” button here.

As for your remaining question, assuming this refers to applying the same consent settings between sites in the network (so that the banner doesn’t re-appear when consent was provided for one of them):

You can add the below filter as a .PHP file in the folder /wp-content/mu-plugins/ on your website. This will add a new field to Complianz > Settings > General where you can enter the desired root domain to set the consent cookies on.

    https://github.com/Really-Simple-Plugins/complianz-integrations/blob/master/Cookies/allow_cookies_on_root_field.php

    Kind regards,

    Hi Jarno,
Thanks for your very prompt reply.

For the translation issue : I went to the dashboard > Updates of my network and I got this message in the Translations section : “All your translations are up-to-date”. is there anything else I can try to fix this ?

About the multisite management, thanks for sharing this piece of code. If I understand its purpose correctly, it prevents the banner to show up on each site but I still have to configure Complianz on each site, is that right ?

    Thank yu again.

    Hi @antho-artnum,

Not a problem at all. Yes, you would still need to configure Complianz on each of the sites, and after doing so and implementing the filter as mentioned, consent provided on one of the sites would apply to the other ones as well.

    As for the translations:

I would attempt manually replacing the current French translation files for Complianz with the latest versions found here.

    Steps:
    – Visit the page linked above and on the bottom of the page, click Export “all current” as “.po/pot”, do this for “.mo” as well.
    – This will yield two files (.mo and .po), rename them to complianz-gdpr-fr_FR.mo and complianz-gdpr-fr_FR.po
    – Upload these to the folder /wp-content/languages/plugins/

I’ve configured a sandbox website in French and followed the steps as provided above, which changed the documents from English to French.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi again Jarno,
This is noted for the multidomain config.
Thank you very much for the detailed steps about the translation issue. It solved my problem.
    Thanks again.
