Complianz and Ultimate Addons for Elementor bugs

If you use Ultimate Addons without Google Maps implementation, you can safely disable the Integration with Ultimate Addons for Elementor under Complianz > Integrations > Plugins. It is only applicable in combination with a Google Maps implementation.

The technical background is that we have to reinitialize / reload the Elementor frontend script, otherwise the Map doesn’t work. But as UAFE uses the same front-end init hook, this can unfortunately result in some unwanted side-effects. With such types of integrations, we are unfortunately somewhat limited to the technical possibilities provided by these other plugins.

Disabling UAE integration is a solution for you? Because there is no other possible solution.
When the “unwanted side-effects” are so noticeable as to require disabling the integration, the most reasonable thing to do would be to recognize the inability to properly interact with UAE and remove it from the integrations.

Disabling UAE integration is the solution for you. We are looking at the best way going forward as this is integration on top of another (UAE) integration.

You’re welcome to collaborate on Github for the best approach or create a pull request. You can also reiterate on Elementor’s Github the need for an API to handle these consent requests instead of a layered integration.

In the meantime, I will switch from “On by default” to “Off by default”. And caution users before enabling this setting.
