• Hi,

I wrote this for the Forum in the WP Social Booster Site, but it doesn’t show the captchas scrambled letters so it is impossible to start a new threat there. So I’m writting it here…

I’m very happy with WP Social Booster Pro, it is very helpful, but I have one question about setting up Google Authorship.

I think I have everything ok: my profile in Google+ with a Contributor link to my web, my header.php has both rel=”publisher” and rel=”author”, etc. So no worries here.

When I go to Google Structured Data Testing Tool, everything is fine, everything gets the green coloured words.

BUT when I try the Authorship Verification by Email, there’s three lines, and the results are in this order: yes, yes and “not found” for the field “Author’s name automatically detected”. I can assure you the name IS indeed in my web as an author, and I did make a correct verification by email several times with Google, which seemed to go well.

I’ve been trying and trying for weeks to solve this, but it seems impossible.

All the above goes for my homepage.

My web is about drumming and percussion, and I tried the same with a random post. Funny enough, the Authorship Verification by Email says that the name of the author’s post is “Neil Peart”, who is a famous drummer that is mentioned in that post but is not by any means mentioned as an author.

Am I doing something wrong here?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Carles,

it’s very difficult to say why that would happen without seeing your site and the complete markup. Could you please submit a ticket with that and include a link to your site?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Sorry Daniel, I forgot to write the url:

    https://www.putrumputrum.com/en

This next post has a byline:
    https://www.putrumputrum.com/en/cymbals/zildjian-14-a-new-beat-hi-hat/

Everything’s ok except for the e-mail verification. I know that this has nothing to do with your plugin and there’s a lot of people that get the same problem. I was just asking because I’m sure you’ve had to do research on this for building the SEO Booster Pro.

    Thanks in advance

No problem. To be honest. I haven’t had to research that and I also never did the verification this way before. There are two different verification methods and I always used the one with connecting the Google Plus profile and never had any issues with that.
Here are some infos about it:

Yes, I’ve been researching for that for weeks and even months.

Seems that that method is a nightmare to everyone and works randomly for no apparent reason. And Google knows that.

It’s like having an incomplete authorship.

Another problem is that not everybody gets to have that “more from xxxx” text-link when you find an article from that person in Google, this seems random as well.

I have been trying to achieve this on this site.. wextraonline. It seems I am doing something wrong or other plugin blocks it.
