• This is a completely different plugin after the upgrade to Termly. This had previously been a free plugin to help with part of the GDPR/cookie consent compliance process.

I’ve read that some users saw a notice that upgrading would make the plugin unusable without an account with the new plugin’s owner; there was no such notice in my websites’ admin areas, perhaps because I upgraded through the WordPress upgrades area.

After the upgrade, the plugin quit working without notice. Upon investigation, I found that since my sites have more than 100 visitors/month, it would be substantial annual prices to continue using this plugin. Even trying to set up that process, it was so convoluted and confusing that I ultimately had to uninstall this plugin and switch to an alternative that I could get to actually work.

I had exactly the same experience and I have only just come to realise that the plugin that was working fine has been replaced with one that does not work, with no notice.. leaving me open to breach of regulations. This is not acceptable, I will not be subscribing and am looking for a more reliable alternative to your bait and switch.
